About Us
John Koch has been an attorney since 1981 and has been practicing law in Berlin since 1983. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics in 1978 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School in 1981.
John married the former Sue Bartol in 1980. They returned to their hometown of Berlin in 1983 and John started Koch Law Office at its present location on Wisconsin Street at that time. John's father, John C. Koch, Sr. and grandfather, Herman C. Koch, were medical doctors in Berlin and they practiced together for many years out of their office on Wisconsin Street about three blocks north of John's current office. John and Sue have four children: Jenny, Greta, Max and Ingrid.
John's secretary, Sara Sobralski, is also from Berlin and has worked with Koch Law Office since 1987. Sara and her husband Peter Sobralski have three children: Andy, Jake and Luke.
Our Services
Currently our services include probate, trusts, and estate planning. We prepare wills, trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, living wills, and other estate planning documents. We also handle probate and trust administration after a person dies. Our clients come from Berlin, Green Lake, Ripon, Redgranite, Omro, Neshkoro, Eureka, Mount Morris, Auroraville, Poy Sippi, Oshkosh and Wautoma, as well as other cities throughout Wisconsin and the country. We do not handle personal injury, divorce, bankruptcy, traffic or real estate sales.
